A shipment’s journey begins inside your store. A consistent preparation process helps your team check the details and gives you a clear record to refer to later.
Review the order before packing
Check the product type, quantity, size and colour against the order. Similar-looking items may have different specifications. Keep the current order in its own preparation area.
- Match products to the order reference.
- Inspect items before placing them inside the package.
- Include the relevant accessories and instructions.
If something is missing or different, stop preparation and resolve it before packing.
Choose packaging that fits the contents
Select packaging that suits the size, weight and nature of the product. Avoid excess empty space and protect fragile surfaces.
- Use suitable internal protection.
- Keep the contents from moving inside the box.
Discuss any special handling requirements with the delivery provider before confirming arrangements.
Make shipment details clear
Check the recipient’s name, telephone number and full address. Attach a readable label on a flat surface without covering seams or openings.
Keep only the information needed for delivery on the outside of the package.
Finish with a short review
Before handover, confirm that the package is secure and that its reference matches the collection list.
Record the actual handover using the agreed process, and keep the reference for follow-up.
